Dom’s Excitement For The End Playlist
February 21, 2022
This playlist describes my feelings about leaving high school and finally beginning my life as an adult.
Not gonna lie, I’m kinda scared about that.
This playlist begins with the third opening for demon slayer which is sort of an intro to it all to show my excitement for leaving from here. Starman by David Bowie represents how much I believe I have potential and how I want to become a star one day.
The Last Train Home shows the side of me that is sad to be leaving. I do not like this school so much but I’m going to admit I will miss everyone I know and love here.
Ghost Town is about both excitement and sadness about it all coming together. Neverland by Love Killed The Hero is about my relationship and how no matter how far I go I’m still gonna be with her.
Coming of Age by Blondes is pretty self-explanatory I feel like this year is kind of a coming-of-age movie just how everything is going.
After Dark is on here because it’s been my favorite song for the past 6 months or so. 1979, Everlong, and Hometown all make me feel very nostalgic and help me remember all of the events of my time here.
This Is The Day by The The, (yes that is a real band name) kinda tells me, “This is it, Dom, you’re almost done.”
The Boardwalk by Loded Diper is about reminiscing on good times with friends. 6 weeks by beach bunny is an amazing song to listen to during times like these. This is where the songs fully get chronological which are planned out for when I will listen to them.
Forever Young by Alphaville will be maybe a little before or after prom, realizing this is it. The second and final prom literally a week or 2 before graduation.
Chamber of Reflection will be me reflecting on everything that’s happened and realizing it yet again. This is it. This is the day. Play This When I’m Gone by Mgk will be the song that plays in my head when I walk the stage. The end credits song for the Demon Slayer movie will be the end credits for my high school years beginning the start of a new chapter in my life.
Time skip to later in the summer Exit music (for a film) by Radiohead will be my goodbye song as I leave for New York. Blue by Mai Yamane will be the end credits and Heroes by David Bowie is there to cheer us up 🙂
