Liz’s Oldies But Goodies

Elizabeth Vega, Contributing Journalist

The reason why I chose these songs specifically is that while growing up I listened to very old songs like rock and roll from the ’80s. My dad would blast 80’s songs and would play it for hours but I never complained because I loved them. Anyways, these songs brought back memories to me and made me feel like a little kid again. These songs bring me joy and 80’s songs are fun and loud which makes it better. I could listen to this playlist forever. Songs from the 70s-00s are the best in my opinion because of the joy and there aren’t any negative feelings or let downs.

“Oldies but goodies” I love how they came up with this quote because for one they aren’t lying oldies are goodies! Upbeat songs are the best to be honest only because it keeps us motivated, at least motivate me, help me do my work, and also have a good time.

Queen, The Beatles, Selena Quintanilla, Micheal Jackson, and Whitney Houston are all my favorite artists or bands from the oldies. These specific artists are inspiring and fun at the same time. My personal favorite artist is Selena Quintanilla because I grew up with her music and her movies. I have been obsessed with her ever since I was born! I’ve watched her inspired movie a thousand times! There isn’t a single song I don’t like from her, none at all. That’s why the oldies songs are the best, they are loud and fun, they make you dance, or want to party. This playlist can be played anywhere: road trips, plane rides, in school, doing work, playing a board game, and many more!

Hopefully, this playlist brings many people joy and love. I also have this playlist personally for me to relax and have some fun. When you hear this playlist you could find your new favorite song, too!
