Without a loss, the Devine Arabians are currently 7-0 in district and are four-time District Champions. They will play in Pearsall this Fri., Feb. 11.

“I hope that we end the season undefeated and carry the intensity from district to playoffs,” junior Clarissa Zamora said.

The Arabians recently played against Crystal City and won 48-41.

“I think that It was a hard fought game,” sophomore Madison Mata said. “It was kind of slow in the beginning, but we picked it up throughout the game and came out with a win.”

Coming off of a victory, the Arabians are excited to see what’s to come in their last game of district.

“Being the last district game, it really makes realize how fast the season has gone,” senior Preslee Quisenberry said. “I hope that we finish on Friday 8-0 to end on a good note going into playoffs.”

From watching previous games on film, the Arabians have been working hard in practice to prepare for their upcoming game.

“We watch film to see what things we did that worked in the game and what we need to improve on,” senior Alissa Stehle said. “Also, we see what the other teams’ offense and defense are like to so that we can practice them and find a way to beat it.”

Because this is the second round of district, the Arabians have an idea of how Pearsall plays.

“I feel like other teams do their best to prepare for us,” junior Gabby Rodriguez said.  “Despite their efforts, we always beat them and end up being the better team.”
