Featherwood Brothers gun safety video gone viral

Recently two Devine High School seniors made a gun safety video just for fun and it went viral. In the video the two students Kody Deck and Isaac Alvarez otherwise known as Kleedus and Klyde Featherwood are standing in a field as Isaac or “Klyde” falls in a hole and fires his gun.

“We were just dove hunting and realized there was no birds to shoot at so we started making videos to make people laugh, we didn’t expect it to blow up like it did,” Deck said.

The boys recorded the videos on their fellow classmate Trent Hermis’ phone. Hermis posted the video to his Snapchat, which got a lot of attention from his friends so Alvarez then posted the video to his Instagram, which then lead to multiple people posting the video to Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, including junior Elliot Moss and Alvarez’s uncle. The video got 12.6 million views on Facebook, 7,487 retweets on twitter, and 8,865 views on YouTube, and more to be expected.

“They are really funny guys in person so when I saw the video it made me laugh really hard,” sophomore Peyton Prestenbach said.

Around school the pair is getting a lot of attention from students, but around town they aren’t getting as much attention as they are online. The boys said that they have gained numerous followers on their social media accounts.

“The only person who has said anything to me was someone at McDonalds,” Deck said

The group plans on making more videos in the near future so keep an eye out for more ‘Featherwood Sports and Outdoors’ gun safety videos.

“I cant wait to see another video from them because the videos are really funny and they make my day,” FFA sponsor Mrs. Adrianna Segura said.
