Going on district game number 7, the Warhorses played the Pearsall Mavericks this past Tues. April 8 and won with a score of 6-2. As the Warhorses are preparing for their next district game the practices are becoming more intense.

“Our games are way more exciting than a regular baseball game.,” senior Cody Trivino said.  “Not only are they our district games, but these count the most for us seniors being that its coming to an end and that this our last season as a Warhorse.”

The Devine Warhorses have their next game Fri. April 11 against the Lytle Pirates at 7:00p.m in their home stadium.

“We want a good game, but we want to try our best to get our win. It’s an honor playing on varsity as a freshman and having fun, but when it’s time to get down to it, we want every opportunity to win and to go out there and play some ball,” freshman Dillon Ricord said.

As the Warhorses face the Lytle Pirates, this will determine who is the district champs and this will not stop the Warhorses from going out there and giving it their all.
