It’s been a good week for baseball, and the Warhorses proved that when they traveled to Lytle and then Carrizo Springs, respectively, for their district games. The boys sunk ships in Lytle on Tuesday with a score of 6-2 and then set off to declaw the Wildcats Friday night, winning 10-5.

“We had a pretty successful two games this week,” senior Patrick Mares said. “We beat Lytle, who we consider a pretty good team, and played a solid game versus Carrizo.”

The consecutive victories are encouraging for the Horses, but in order to keep up the success, they need to keep focus and continue to work hard.

“Even though we won both games this week, we have a lot of things to work on,” junior Seth Levy said. “We just need to practice and be determined to win and we will continue to be successful.”

The boys will have the chance to put their work to the test this upcoming Tues., April 1 against the Hondo Owls. The Warhorses will be playing the rivals at home at 7:00 p.m., so take the opportunity to see them in action.
