Arabians stomp Lady Pirates, declaw Carrizo Springs Wildcats

Tearing up the field is what the Arabians do best, and this week they beat the Lytle Lady Pirates with a score of 6-0. Even with the tight district schedule, the girls stay on top of the game, and were able to beat the Carrizo Springs Wildcats Friday night 3-1.

“I still have a lot to improve, but overall as a team we work together to get what we want,” sophomore Elyse Espinoza said. “Even though we won it doesn’t stop us to work as hard as we’ve been to get through our district games.”

While being district champions is an ideal goal for the Arabians, the girls are also concentrated on bonding as a team in order to be the best they can be.

“Being able to play with a group of girls I grew up with is always a fun time,” senior Jordan Alvarez said. “Hopefully with confidence and concentration we can go out there and continue to win the rest of this season.”

The ladies will face off with the Hondo Lady Owls on Tues. April 1 at home, so be sure to catch them in the act of carrying on Devine’s winning tradition.
