Blaring sun and blazing heat couldn’t stop the Warhorses from defeating the Crystal City Javelinas  9-3 this past Tues., March 18. Despite the win, however, the boys recognize their mistakes and want to work as hard as they can to be the best.

“I think we played well, but we had a lot of errors that could easily get improved,” junior Tristen English said.

The chance to fix those errors is coming fast- the first district home game will be played Fri. March 21 against the Pearsall Mavericks.

As a team, I want us to go out there and win against Pearsall,” senior Wyatt Sheff said. “I want to improve during this game and be better than the last.”

The junior varsity Warhorses also had a great run against Crystal City. They beat the Javelinas 12-2 and set the stage for the varsity game. Now, both teams have the chance to do the best they can and beat Pearsall.
