The Arabian golf team finished up their season two weeks ago at the regional tournament hosted in Corpus Christi. Unfortunately the team did not advance to the state tournament.
This year the Arabians had three seniors for whom regionals was their last tournament of their high school careers.
“Ending high school golf is kind of a bitter sweet feeling,” senior Amanda Ornelas said “I’m going to miss being with the team and having fun at all of the tournaments.”
The girls ended up finishing in twelfth place, with senior Celeste Spivey leading the team with a two-day total of 201.
“I knew that regionals was probably going to be last tournament of my high school career, so I went and tried to leave it all out on the course.” Celeste said.
Alongside the three seniors on the team were Sophomore Megan Coleman and freshmen Sabrina Rackley.
“The regional tournament was a really fun experience.” Megan said. “I’m looking forward to trying to make two more appearances in the next two years.”
