A contestant in the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 pageant is gaining global attention after an onstage dental mishap.
Kamolwan Chanago, 18, representing Pathum Thani, was delivering her introduction during the preliminary round on March 25 when her upper veneers suddenly dislodged mid-speech as the event was livestreamed to viewers.
Chanago calmly turned away from the audience to adjust them before completing her routine.
Pageant organizers later described the incident as “minor and unexpected,” praising Chanago for her professionalism and stage presence. The event proceeded without disruption.
The competition, held in Bangkok, featured 77 contestants competing for the national title and opportunity to represent Thailand at the Miss Grand International pageant later this year.
The incident went viral across social media. Many viewers praised Chanago’s poise, while others expressed surprise at the unexpected malfunction.
Chanago later leaned into the viral moment during the pageant’s grand finale on March 28. Chanago introduced herself naturally before popping in her veneers on stage, playfully embracing the mishap.
The Miss Grand Thailand title ultimately went to Pattama Jitsawat, representing Chonburi, who will compete internationally in India.
Chanago won the hearts of millions with her poise, composure, and professionalism, making her one of the most talked-about contestants of the competition.
