Along with the new football season, all of the sports have different districts. The teams that will now be facing the Warhorses include: Poteet, Pearsall, Carrizo Springs, and Crystal City.

“I’m excited about the new district, but I’m also disappointed for Hondo not being in our distict this year.” Junior John Ortiz said.

Although the team will not be facing one of their district rivals, they will be playing the Hondo Owls in  pre- season. The Warhorses now have a new competitor emerging.

” Pearsall would be our biggest competion on the field because they are more advanced than the other schools in our new district.” Junior Avery Savage said.

Players have their own feelings toward the district changes.

“It’s going to benefit our district recored, but it may end up hurting us in the playoffs due to the fact that we have a weak district.” junior Hunter DuBose said. Football season is around the corner,  and there will also be new competition on the field.
