Meet the Managing Editor

Abigail Kohlleppel, Managing Editor

Hi y’all! I’m Abby Kohlleppel, and I get to serve as Managing Editor this year. I am so excited! I find joy in writing, especially for a newspaper and other publications. My favorite things to write have to be editorials. You get to have an opinion and express your feelings and it’s okay to do so. They are anonymous and people can read it if they want or they don’t have to at all.

Some things that make me are that I say y’all a lot (I don’t know why really, but probably because I am a Texan), I have a fear of stop lights (is it going to change to red? am I going to have time to stop? will it change too fast? will I run a red light?), and I love living life! (We’re only here for a short amount of time right?)

I love to cook and bake! I actually do it as a job. I love creating new things and seeing people’s faces when they pick up their orders. I most recently also work for the Devine News as the main volleyball reporter and photographer.

I am a middle child. I have an older sister and younger brother. They bring me lots of joy… at times… My dad is a farmer and my mom works at the elementary as the counselor. I live in the country and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love having my family close by and I love hanging out with them.

I am super excited to be apart of the newspaper staff and publish/produce stories that the community will read.

Write to you later! -Abby
