The Art Club traveled to the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio on Friday, November 11, along with their sponsor, Ms. Nora Rodriguez.

“It was interesting seeing the different techniques and perspectives of the artists,” senior Savannah Beltran said.

The artwork at the McNay has inspired the students in more ways than one.

“The artwork was absolutely stunning. I hope to one day create something as great as what we saw,” Beltran said.

The Art Club has several talented young artists. Senior Alexus Jimenez has begun sending her artwork to colleges.

“It’s unbelievable how rewarding this experience is,” Jimenez said.

The students in Art Club have started to use art as a sort of outlet to express their feelings.

“Art means self expression without boundaries or judgment,” Beltran said.

The Art Club is always looking for newcomers to join them.

“Art club is about self-improvement but also about being able to contribute to our community,” Beltran said.
