Fun in the fall

The weather is getting colder and leaves are changing colors. Fall has come. Now that fall is here there are so many things to do in and around the community. Devine Acres, the Hondo Corn Maize, and Haunted Houses around the area are some things that students love to do in the fall.

“There are a lot of fun activities that I enjoy doing with my family during the fall,” freshman Karli Geyer said.

Devine Acres is one way to get into fall because it’s within our community and it is a family oriented place to go and spend a nice fall day at. If you have pumpkin carving, and animal feeding in mind, Devine Acres would be a great choice. It is owned by the Capps family; they have lived in our community for quite some time and enjoy every minute of being open during the fall.

“I enjoy seeing all of the customers having fun,” junior Abbie Capps said.” I also enjoy working with all of my friends when we are open.”

Another great way to spend a fall day is at the Hondo Corn Maize. They have two mazes that they have plowed in the corn so that people can get a great fright while trying not to get lost.

“I enjoyed going to the corn maize, because there were two mazes to go through and it’s such a fun thing to with my friends,” junior Emmaline Suttles said.

If you travel a little bit further into San Antonio you can experience the scare of a haunted house. Student’s love going to haunted houses to experience the rush as people pop up and scare them.

“I enjoy the thrill of haunted houses and going through them with my friends,” sophomore Jacob Oyola said.
