Passes, catches and stellar defense were displayed at the powderpuff football game held at Warhorse Stadium on Thurs. May 14. The juniors played a tough game, but it wasn’t enough as the seniors ended strong with a 14-0 win. Seniors Alyssa Schmidt and Destiny Carranza contributed touchdowns and Katelynn Riggs caught a pass for a two-point conversion.
“Alyssa threw the ball really hard so I was afraid I wasn’t going to catch it,” Riggs said. “It was a very intense and physical game, but I had a lot of fun, especially on defense.”
Powderpuff is sponsored by Project Graduation to help raise money for the senior class.
