No cell phones, no way: What would you do without your technological pal?

Cell phones are more advanced today then ever before. The reason young teens can’t put down their phone isn’t only because they can’t stop using their thumbs to type a message, but simply because they enjoy playing their favorite game or checking the newest application. The cell phone has given the world a way to get a hold of people faster and a way for teenagers to explore other  methods of communication.

There is more to having a cell phone  than just being able to get a hold of someone. The way technology has evolved, it would be hard to erase. Without cell phones people would be affected more than one would think.

“It would definitely be harder to get a hold of people,” junior Ashley Trivino said.

Besides, the range of applications available on cell phones is truly incredible. “Apps”, or applications, are downloaded rapidly throughout the day. The average app download is 800 apps per second. Everything from social media sites like Twitter and Instagram to fun games such as the hits Candy Crush and Flappy Bird are available 24/7 on big business app stores.

“I would miss snapchat and twitter the most,”  Trivino said.

Cell phones not only help teens with the common social networking, but also helps teens stay focused while working on a task. For example, a lot of teens explain that music and other things found on smart phones can help focus them, not just distract them.

“I focus better with music than I do without,” junior Tyler Korczynki said.

Without cellphones it would be harder to do many day to day things. From scheduling a calendar to setting several alarm clocks, a cell phone can help people stay organized.

Cell phones do more than help people get a hold of someone, therefore if cell phones went away, it would be a wreck. Cell phones have innovated an easier way to do many tasks, but most of all, they help people live life the way they choose. Most people depend on and even focus their life around their technological pals; so the question is, what would you do if cell phones didn’t exist?
