Hard work and dedication are important values in the FFA, and that’s something the members proved throughout the year. They recently had their annual FFA banquet, where the new leaders were announced for next year.
“Many FFA members in our school accomplished their goals in their LDE and CDE competitions,” senior Alyssa Schmidt said.
FFA was an overall success with many memorable moments as well as achievements.
“I’m excited for what’s to come, and compete in a variety of competitions to represent Devine,” sophomore Colton Bean said
The new FFA leaders are: Cole Yanta as President, Oscar Gonzales as Vice President, Zane Morris as Sentinel, Colton Bean as Historian, Jordan Outlaw as Secretary, Jared Wood as Treasurer, and Serena Rios as Reporter.
“I’m honored to be President of FFA next year, and lead our chapter in the right direction,” Yanta said.
Members are able to take many lifelong skills from being in FFA as well as countless memories.
“Our FFA chapter participated in many events throughout the year from teaching kids about sheep to picking up trash on the side of the road for our community,” Yanta said.
Members are wrapping up the school year with competing at the Texas state convention with their science fair projects.
