CeCe’s Lifting Playlist

Cece Martinez, Broadcast Journalist

“The Show Goes On” is actually my favorite song from my workout playlist. This song is saying don’t let people hold you back and treat you like you’re nothing, and that you need to stand up and rise above them and show them you’re more than what they say you are.

“Eye of the Tiger” is a really good song to listen to when you want to get pumped up during a workout. Every time I listen to it I think of Rocky pushing himself during all of his training and I always remind myself to push myself to do the best I can.

“Here Come the Boom” always reminds me of other teams’ run-outs for volleyball or basketball. I really like it though because it says “Ain’t in it to win, to win it I’m all in” and I like that because I see it as someone saying “I’m going to do whatever I can to be the best.”

“Thunderstruck” is another good song to listen to when you work out. It has a good beat and it always hypes me up for a workout or even before a game.

“Can’t Hold Us” is a very inspiring song to listen to because it’s a good hype song and it tells you that we all have dreams that we want to accomplish in life. And in the song it says “I got my city right behind me, if I fall, they got me, learn from that failure, gain that humility, and then we keep marching.”
