Meet the Editor in Chief
September 22, 2017
Hi, Im Addison Trojanowski. It is finally my senior year at Devine High school. I could not be more excited to take on all the new experiences. Being a senior opens up a lot of new opportunities for my classmates and I. I have been on the newspaper staff all four years of high school, and this year I am the Editor in Chief. It is extremely nerve racking and exciting to be leading the class. I hope that through my leadership we can have a productive and popular newspaper.
Journalism is not all that I am involved with at school. I have been a part of the Varsity volleyball team all four years of high school. Volleyball has been such a big part of my life. I have met some of my best friends throughout my journey. I have also been given multiple opportunities with my volleyball career. I was able to take part in a program that allowed me to practice at the USA Volleyball training center and get coaching from collegiate players. I was also able to play in the All-Star Volleyball game as a senior, because I was a part of three different All-State volleyball teams! My volleyball team here at high school made it all the way to the regional tournament, and we plan to do it again this year.
Along with playing volleyball and being in journalism, I am a member of FFA and NHS. I am the NHS representative. NHS is also something that I feel very proud to be a part of. It is something that takes a lot of hard work to be a part of. It makes me happy knowing that I am someone who represents the Society. The FFA organization is close to my heart because I have always been involved with agriculture. I showed cattle and pigs for five years, before my showing career came to an end.
As my high school career comes to an end, I will heading to Lubbock, Texas to further my eduction at Texas Tech University. There I will study Communications and Journalism. Im looking forward to taking what I have learned here at Devine and put it into play at Texas Tech in the fall of 2018!
