FCCLA Club Update

Busy, busy, busy: that’s what FCCLA can be described as this time of the year. In addition to the preparations for the Red Santa toy drive, members of the club are preparing for their region competitions.
“We’re bringing 20 students with us to the region competition,” FCCLA sponsor Madeline Steubing said. “There’s a total of eight teams competing this year, and we’re excited to see how they fare in this round of competition.”
The Devine FCCLA chapter also hosted the Region 5 meeting at the school in November.
“We had the lifetime nutrition classes make King Ranch casserole to cater at the meeting,” Ms. Steubing said. “The officers of the region met to discuss our next meeting, which will be in Corpus.”
The members of the club will be traveling to Corpus Christi next month to participate in their regional meeting and competitions. They will be in Corpus Jan. 30-31.
