Recognition in football isn’t easy to come by, but this year Devine has the privilege of honoring two great players: seniors Jordan Fraga and Zach Monreal who were named to the All-State team. Both players helped the football team out tremendously this season.
Jordan Fraga, a running back, had a total of 2,674 rushing yards on 328 attempts. Jordan received first team all-state running back.
“It’s and unbelievable task to achieve, but I give all my glory to my line and quarterback for helping me out,” Fraga said.
Zach Monreal received recognition for all-state offensive line. With a total of 26 pancake blocks in the season, Zach says he didn’t even expect to receive all-state honors.
“I didn’t think I would get it but it turns out I did, so I’m just honored to receive it,” Zach said.
Both players and their exceptional season do plan The players put a lot of hard work into what they did.
“With a lot of hard work and dedication to the game you start to see that it isn’t so hard to achieve what you want,” Fraga said.
