To kick off the beginning of senior events for the class of 2013, the Devine Current Events Club put on the annual ice cream social on Monday, April 2. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Summerlin opened their home to host the event and the Current Events Club provided the seniors with ice cream, cookies, toppings and drinks to enjoy during the event. Each senior was announced by principal Mr. Wendel and stood to introduce themselves along with sharing their plans for the future. Door prizes were given following the final introduction, and the event finished as a success. The seniors have now experienced their first event of many, and still have tons of memories to make before their final days at DHS.
