The first annual DJ Memorial Scholarship will be given out to one senior boy and girl. The Carlson family will be holding a barbecue benefit at Ric’s dance hall on Saturday, April 20. The first annual DJ Carlson benefit will have BBQ plates, a raffle, an auction, and also the Jeremy Richards Band. The BBQ plates will be sold for $6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The silent auction will be setup from 11 a.m until 9 p.m. The raffle is at 7:30 before the band starts, and will be for a BBQ pit and a table. Raffle tickets will be sold for $2. The dance and the Jeremy Richards Band will start at 8 p.m. and last until midnight.

“We are expecting a great turnout with lots of fun, love, and remembrance,” senior Rikki Knox said. “All proceeds go into DJ’s scholarships fund to help the kids of our future. We love and miss you dearly DEEJ.”
