Curtains close for ‘Fuddy Meers’ as cast, crew performs for the last time

Curtains closed for the One Act Play production, Fuddy Meers, as the cast and preformed for the last time in front of friends and family on Sat. May 16.
The O.A.P cast members had a season full of many award-winning performances. The team had a successful season placing advancing in district, bi-district and area.
One Act Play members did not advance past regionals, but they did place 6th spot.
“We did really good at regionals, “ sophomore Mason Honig said. “Competing against the tough competition only made our team better.”
This year O.A.P had their eyes on advancing to Regionals, as they did last year.
“Adding new schools in our district really made us up our game,” senior Catherine Duncan said. “This made us even more proud after winning awards because we knew we really earned it.”
Many members of the cast received awards for their performances. The best actor award was given to Honig at district competition and Duncan was awarded at the area competition.
“I was really excited when they called my name for best actor, ” Honig said. “It is an amazing reward to receive and I was very proud.”
The One Act Play cast members had a good season, and they are all really proud of what they accomplished this season.
“I think it’s really incredible how well we did,“ Duncan said. “I can not be more proud.”
Fuddy Meers preformed on it’s feet for the last time on Saturday in front of friends and family.
“This company was fearless in performance,” Director Desiree Chappelle said.
After, the cast enjoyed sharing stories about the competition season and how much they will miss preforming the play.
“They were an amazing group of students, and I’m going to miss working with them everyday.”
