DHS was on a roll once again at the District U.I.L meet. For the fourth year in a row the literary team has taken first at district and placed in events.
There was a total of 34 placing. Among those 34 placing, there were six first place finishes and 21 regional qualifiers.
For senior Gregorio Sanchez, lightning struck twice as he took home two first place medals, in Informative Writing and Lincoln Douglas Debate.
“I’m really excited to attend regionals once again,” Sanchez said. “I can’t wait to see how well I do this time around.”
