Seniors share sweet memories at Ice Cream Social

As the seniors count down their last days of high school, they are also preparing for some memorable senior events. On Mon. April 13, the senior class gathered together to enjoy  ice cream floats and outside games.

“The ice cream social was a really cool way to socialize with our classmates and enjoy our time together,” senior Brooke Sumners said.

“I especially liked eating the ice cream and playing the games.”

Principal Derrick Byrd and the Current Events club also gathered to celebrate the hard work the seniors have done for the past four years by reading aloud the things they were involved in, future plans and favorite memories. Each senior stood up in front of the crowd as their fellow classmates celebrated each other and the things to come.

“It was fun to hear about everyone’s plans for after high school and all of their achievements over these past four years,” senior Courtney Weinstrom said. “It was definitely a bitter sweet event.”

The ice cream social kicked off the beginning of senior events, and with many more to come, the seniors will have more chances to make memories as a class.

“It was definitely a fun and memorable experience to get together with everyone before we go our separate ways,” Weinstrom said.
