Spring tennis started their season two weeks ago at the Uvalde Invitational Meet. The varsity team took home the third place plaque.

“We started off spring tennis a bit rocky, but as we continue to play more, I think everyone has a chance of doing well at district,” senior Malvin Flores said.

Junior Brooke Runyan placed first in girls singles at the Uvalde Invitational and placed first at the Austin Tennis Academy College Preparation Tournament.

“I’ve been working hard these past few months to try and better my game and become more aggressive,” Runyan said. “Winning these tournaments is showing me that sacrificing my time is paying off.”
