Warhorses are Undefeated District Champions

The Warhorses are District Champions after beating Poteet 21-0 at last Friday’s Homecoming game.
“I’m so excited that we won our last home game as seniors,” senior Isaiah Oropeza said. “It’s a plus that is was Homecoming and that we won District.”
The team is undefeated in district thus far and will play their last district game this Fri., Nov. 8 in Carrizo Springs.
“We’re working hard so we can beat the Wildcats and do well in our last District game,” Oropeza said.
This is the first time in 3 years the Warhorses haves claimed the District title without having to share it with another team.
“It feels good to be District Champions on our own this year because we had to share it with two other teams last year, senior Joseph Hernandez said. “I’m so glad we were able to do this as a team.”
Football coaches and players hope to get a win for Friday’s game so they can be “Undefeated District Champions.”
“This week is one of the most important weeks of our season,” senior Leonard Pompa said. “Our goal is to be ‘Undefeated District Champions,’ and we’re working hard to get that.”
