Starting off strong

Fall football is back in action. The Devine Warhorses have had two straight victories, and one hard fought loss against the 6A Laredo LBJ Wolves Saturday, Sept. 12. They are now preparing for their match up against the Central Catholic Buttons.
“I’m really proud of the kids,” Coach Chad Quisenberry said. “They kicked off the season with two big wins, they are playing very well against big schools.”
The Warhorses are working hard and improving everyday. They are preparing themselves to step on the field with confidence each week.
“Before a game I like to pray for the team to keep them safe,” junior Dillon Ricord said. “ I also try to go into the game with a good mindset, not only physically but mentally.”
Four weeks into the season, the Warhorses are preparing to face the Central Catholic Buttons this Friday, Sept. 18.
“This weekend’s game is going to be a big challenge, but very much achievable.” Coach Quisenberry said.
