Arabians strive for excellence

The varsity volleyball team played St. Mary’s at St. Mary’s Hall on Tuesday, September 9. Although they came up short in the five set game, they competed hard until the end.
“I think we played with a lot of intensity and we definitely could’ve come out with a win but we fell short,” sophomore Julia Harrell said.
The team has competed against some good teams so far and only has three games left of their preseason.
“Our main goal is to keep talking and play together,” senior Alyssa Schmidt said.
The Arabians first opponent in district will be the Lytle Lady Pirates.
“I think we’re ready for district because we’ve been working really hard and are excited to compete with the other teams in our district,” Harrell said.
The Arabians next play Marion this Friday at 6:00 at Marion.
“We play Marion on Friday and we’ve played them in the tournament this season so we know how they play,” Schmidt said. “We know what we need to work on and that’s what we’ll be doing the rest of the week to come out with the win.”
