“I thought our pitchers did a decent job of attacking the strike zone. 18 of the 21 outs were strikeouts, that’s a great first outing,” head coach George Villa said. ”I was disappointed in some of our defensive play, but those are things that will be fixed. Offensively, we started out cold. But when we finally adjusted, we started making more contact and hitting the ball hard.”
The baseball team scrimmaged the Pleasanton Eagles Tuesday, scores were not available at time of press.
