Coming off of a second place finish in district, and a playoff appearance, Devine Warhorse baseball will have high expectations to meet in 2013. The Warhorses are returning five starters from last season. But with Coach Villa, a “returning starter” isn’t a guaranteed spot. Even with a young team, the District Championship will always be the goal.
“My expectation is a District Championship,” Coach George Villa said. “We will be young in spots, but I still expect the kids to compete as hard as they can, no matter who we are playing. It will be exciting to see which young kids will fight and compete for a role as a starter on varsity.”
The Warhorse baseball team kicked off practice on Friday, January 25th. They will have the first scrimmage against the Antonian Apaches on February 5th.
