Most often in life, we tend not to notice the little things. When we come to school in the morning we may not notice the clean floors that are free of dirt and other debris, the trash cans which are without trash, the windows clear of fingerprints and smudges, and the restrooms nice and clean. These are just a few of the many ways custodians make our school a cleaner and tidier place.
William James, an American psychologist and philosopher once said, “The deepest principle in human nature in the craving to be appreciated,” and it is true, everyone deserves recognition. Especially when day in and day out one never fails to do what is expected of them. That is why the custodians of DHS deserve a big “THANK YOU.”
Next time you see a school custodian, thank them and let them know that you appreciate their continued efforts.
Helen Keller said, “The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of tiny pushes of each honest worker. Thank you DHS custodial staff for all that you do!
