“Growing up my mom and I always watched all of the Micheal Myres movies and we are so excited to go see this new one together,” senior Kadence Yeats said. “I really like these movies, because it shows how Micheal grew up and what caused him to be crazy.”
Many Devine students are equally excited over last weekend’s release of Marvel’s newest movie Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage.
Venom 2 sees the return of Tom Hardy as Venom, and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady. Venom, a parasitic alien or symbiote, and its host, Edward Brock, go through an argument causing Venom to detach from Eddie’s body and they go their separate ways and deal with a new symbiote, Carnage. The movie entertains audiences with comedic action as Venom and Edward must work out their differences in order to face a returning dangerous villain.
“I loved the new Venom movie because it shows how Eddie and Venom makeup and work together,” sophomore Cameron Darby said. “I think it was a really cute and funny movie.”
Venom’s post-credit scene leaves Marvel Universe fans in shock as it finally connects Venom to the superhero fans who know Venom is destined to be tied into.
“Spider-man is my favorite hero and after watching the credits of Venom I am really curious to see how they tie in,” senior Macey Hein said. “He better not hurt my Tom Holland.”
“This year there are a lot of good new movies that have been released and will continue to be released,” senior Lacey Shook said. “There is a mix of action, scary, and sci-fi movies but I am most excited for Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
