This year’s Arabian golf season is underway, beginning with the team placing third at the Pleasanton tournament they competed in last Thursday Feb. 4.

“I’m excited to be playing this year,” junior Lindsey Herrera said. “I wish to accomplish shooting under 100 this season.”

Individually, junior Emily Faubel placed second at the Pleasanton tournament.

“There was great competition in the last two tournaments,”

Faubel said. “I look forward to getting better everyday. I am proud of my team and coaches.”

Some of the students decided to take up golf this year and compete.

“Being my first year I really didn’t know what to expect,” she said. “I am a leader to some of the girls and I try my best to be a leader on the team.”
