This past Sunday, there was a brawl at Breakaway Brewing Company.
I had so much fun at the show, getting to hang out with all of my wrestling friends. Since it had wrestlers on it, I decided to show off my homecoming mum as well, even if this wasn’t homecoming. The wrestlers all loved getting to see their faces on it, and I got many compliments on it. My friend Lilly also wore her mum as well, so we got to match.
Moving on from my personal experience, Breakaway was host to Oktoberfest Brewtality in collaboration with United 210, and it did not disappoint. Didn’t get to make it to the show? Never fear, along with my pictures, I’ll be bringing you guys a recap of all the action.
The first two matches were both single matches, but they were still bangers to start the evening.
Firstly, we had “the Steel Eel” Dyl Dempsey take on “Numero Uno” Kris Barton. Barton came prepared for a fight, and he pulled off the victory. He did not have any time to celebrate after that, since the “Shark Security” of the Texas Treats swam into the ring and attacked him.
Once the dust had cleared from that match, we had Movie Myk take on Zakai Living. Myk is fairly new to United 210, as his debut was just at the last show in the Total Elimination match, where he notably lasted only a few seconds. Myk went up against seasoned talent Zakai Living, wanting to prove that he can hang for more than just a few seconds. He did exactly that by getting the upset over Zakai.
Next, we had not just any normal gauntlet match, but the Don Juan gauntlet match.
Of course, we knew that Zorro De Jalisco and Freakshow would be a part of it, but there was a third mystery opponent we had yet to find out who it was. Don Juan, being the shark he is, swam through both Zorro in the first round and Freakshow in the second round. Making his shocking debut in the third round was none other than “The Sheriff” Vance Jackson! Vance had a LOT of history with not just the Texas Treats, but specifically Don Juan disrespecting him over the past couple of months. Unfortunately, Vance did not have enough anger in him, though he put up a fight; Don Juan still came up on top and won the whole gauntlet match.
Next up, we had some mixed gender tag team action. It was the team of Jayden Valentino and Kalientita, otherwise known as Kalientino, going up against Brock Ali and Zy Gold, the Golden Superheroes. Towards the end of the match, Ridley Thorne appeared and caused the distraction for the Golden Superheroes to win the match. It doesn’t seem like there has been any love between Kalie and Ridley. Once Ridley is cleared for action, we’ll have to see what will happen between the once teammates.
This show was just banger after banger, and this next match was a banger, no doubt. Next up, we had Jae Young challenge Diego Renay for the United 210 Heritage Championship. Jae is called “the Bloodhound” for a reason, and he put up a good fight against Renay. Unfortunately, he was not able to get the win, and Diego Renay retained his championship. After the match, Renay had a mandatory “Appreciate Diego Renay” moment in the ring for 15 seconds, for everyone to dwell on how he is “da best”.
The second-to-last match on the card was a Battle of the Podcasts match. The Countdown City Wrestlecast was being represented by “The Buzzard” Tommy Bolton, and Tall Can Listening was being represented by David Teen of the Texas Treats. Shockingly, it was announced that this was going to turn into a triple threat match with Pushing Up Daisies announcing their entry. Though they aren’t a podcast, Pushing Up Daisies was represented by Lue Cameron. Sometimes wild cards can change everything, and they indeed did in this match as Lue Cameron took the win for team Pushing Up Daisies! They made history, and Pushing Up Daisies is the inaugural United 210 Breakaway Brewing Champion!
The main event was sure to be a great match to take us home, as it was a STREET FIGHT for the United 210 Tag Team Championships. Ryloh King and Armani Sage, the Pretty Badass Riot Party and the current tag team champions, defended their titles against Rob Love and Studstache, the Texas Kingdom. There was lots of violence, chairs, bloodshed, and even a kid’s lemonade sign was used as a weapon! These two teams went to war against each other, but it was the Pretty Badass Riot Party who stood tall at the end of the match.
Definitely an amazing show for it being the first one ever held at the Breakaway Brewing Company. Who knows, with the Breakaway Championship in existence now, maybe we’ll see more shows there in the future.

“… the “Shark Security” of the Texas Treats swam into the ring and attacked him.” That was so cute. 😂 I love the imagery. 💗
