Joseph’s Playlist

Teotimo Joseph Lee Stafford, Contributing Journalist

My playlist is pretty diverse. The kinds of songs I listen to will always depend on my mood and where I’m at. Every now and then it will depend on what I’m doing. If I’m doing something that requires focus, I will either put on a loud rock song like Jesus of Suburbia from Green Day or maybe Lacrimosa from Mozart. Hopefully, you’ll find a new song to jam to.

Here are my top 5 picks from my playlist.

1: I bet my life by Imagine Dragons

This song is an absolute masterpiece. Made back in 2014, it’s one of my favorite songs of all time. It helps to bring the mood up and would work really well in a short movie.

2: But not for me by Chet Baker

“Ya like jazz?” Says the talking bee. This is definitely up to you to decide if this is a sad or happy song because it’s on the border with both. Nonetheless, it’s a song you should try, maybe you’ll like that.

3: Smokin’ out the window by Bruno Mars and Silk Sonic.

I have always been a big Bruno Mars fan, and there isn’t a song I have never disliked, and this one is no different. Great song, good beats and it feels like you’re at a party just having fun.

4:  Lost in Japan by Shawn Mendes

Love how it feels and I like how he can make a story out of this, and Japan was a great choice, highly recommended.

5: Without Me by Eminem

No doubt to me, Eminem is one of the, if not, the greatest rapper of all time. Granted I don’t listen to rap all day, but he’s definitely one of the funniest and best rappers out there. Greatest diss tracks and collabs ever.
